Around the house
Within easy walking of the house we have North Strome Castle, Smugglers bay, the peninsular at Ardaneaskan and the bay at Reraig. You can also see tartan being made at Lochcarron weavers.
Walking
This is walking country with some of the finest walks in the West Highlands For the Munro baggers (the hills over 3000 ft ) twelve tops lie within the Glen Carron and Achnashellach area. Maps and guides to many low - mid level walks are provided in the house.
Golf
There is a nine hole golf course overlooking the loch. Clubs can be hired and visitors are welcome.
Cycling
The clear air and quiet roads make cycling especially enjoyable. Bicycle hire is available locally.
Boat Hire
It's also possible to hire boats and canoes in the village.
Wildlife
There are seals otters and pine martins near the house and there are eagles towards Glenelg and Applecross. There's also a heronry on Kishorn Island.
Entertainment
The hotels regularly have live music and theatre groups and the mobile cinema visit throughout the year.
