There’s a spectacular drive to Applecross over the Bealach, Scotland’s highest road rising through hairpin bends over 2000ft
From the top there are clear views of Raasay and Skye with it’s extinct volcano. A couple of miles north on the peninsular there’s a beautiful, usually very quiet, sandybeach
The Applecross Inn has a renowed reputation for excellent meals ( voted best pub food in Britain and the best seafood pub in Scotland ) with outstanding views from the garden.
